Get to Know Your Team:

  • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital, with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

Responsibilities

  • The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost effective pharmaceutical care including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
  • Other applicable state requirements - i.e. sterile compounding, etc
  • BLS & ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue)

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
  • 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
